Julie and Julia

 

Welcome to my very first post for this blog! I was sitting in my apartment watching Mamma Mia on Starz Encore Classic when I noticed that another good Meryl Streep movie will be coming on right afterwards. The name of it is Julie and Julia. I just had to sit down and watch it! This movie was directed by Nora Ephron. 

I am huge fan of Nora Ephron movies like Sleepless in Seattle and You've Got Mail. Julie and Julia is a little different. It takes place in Paris, Queens, and Massachusetts. It also has two corresponding stories- Julia Child making her first cookbook Mastering the Art of French Cooking and Julie Delpy blogging about cooking her way through Julia's book for an entire year. Both Meryl Streep and Julie Adams give really good performances for their roles. Meryl Streep deserved the Golden Globes nomination that she received for playing Julia Child.  Jane Lynch and Stanley Tucci also costar in the movie.
